Bogotá, Colombia, 1984. Candidato a Doctor en Artes de la Universidad de Antioquia. Es investigador en arte, educación e ilustración editorial. Autor de los libros Estilo, oficio y arte editorial: El malpensante (2019) coautor y editor de Pedagogías Estéticas Contemporáneas: Ensayos sobre educación artística (2018) su investigación en diseño e ilustración editorial fue la base para la publicación ILUSTRACIÓN MALPENSANTE (2017). Ha colaborado con El Malpensante, Festival Internacional de la Cultura, Fundación Compartir, Revista Magisterio, el Instituto de patrimonio y cultura de Cartagena IPCC e Instituto para la investigación educativa y el Desarrollo Pedagógico IDEP entre otros espacios y medios independientes.
Es docente de artes de la Secretaría de Educación de Bogotá, diseñador gráfico, licenciado en artes y magíster en Estética e historia del arte. Sus investigaciones sobre arte, educación artística y cultura se evidencian en diferentes proyectos como director del grupo de investigación: La Libreta de Bocetos, la curaduría realizada para El Centro de Innovación Ciudad Maestra: Pedagogos Artistas (2019) y la dirección del Festival de Arte de Bogotá (2018), entre otros. Recientemente ha participado como Jurado en diferentes convocatorias artísticas y culturales algunas de ellas son: Premio periodismo cultural para las artes, Murales para la convivencia, Salón Arte Joven XIV, Estímulos y concertación.
Yhonathan Virgüez Rodríguez (Substitute jury)
Bogotá, Colombia, 1984. Candidate to a Doctorate in Arts of Universidad de Antioquia. He is a researcher on arts, education and editorial illustration. He is author of books such as Estilo, oficio y arte editorial: El Malpensante (Style, trade and editorial art: El Malpensante) (2019), co-author and editor of Pedagogías Estéticas Contemporáneas: Ensayos sobre educación artística (Contemporary aesthetic pedagogies: Essays about artistic education) (2018) his research in design and editorial illustration was the base for the publication titled ILUSTRACIÓN MALPENSANTE (MALPENSANTE ILLUSTRATION) (2017). He has collaborated with El Malpensante, International Culture Festival, Fundación Compartir, Revista Magisterio, the Heritage and Culture Institute of Cartagena IPCC and the Institute for Educational Research and Pedagogic Development IDEP, among other indie spaces and media.
He is a teacher of arts at the Education Secretary of Bogotá, graphic designer, bachelor in arts and master in Aesthetics and history of arts. His research on arts, artistic education and culture are shown in several projects where he has performed as director of the research group: La Libreta de Bocetos (The Notebook of Sketches), the curatorship made for El Centro de Innovación Ciudad Maestra: Pedagogos Artistas (The Innovation Center Master City: Artist Educators) (2019) and the direction of the Bogotá Arts Festival (2018), inter alia. Recently, he has participated as a Jury in different artistic and cultural calls, including: The Cultural Journalism Award for Arts, Wall paintings for coexistence, 14th Young Art Salon, Incentives and Concertation.
